Nicola Turnbull creates elegant geometric jewellery her workshop in Edinburgh. Nicola's designs are informed by scientific patterns and organic structures. Jewellery is often made of articulating concentric shapes.  Some of her most notable works are the ring designs in her Oval Rhythms Collection which can be rotated and move when off the body but remain static when worn.  Nicola is working on her ethical practice, using Fairtrade and recycled metals and locally sourced Scottish gemstones when possible. A continuing source of inspiration for her jewellery is weather, movement and the mathematical patterns of the natural world. Currently she is focusing on an artistic exploration of the Scottish wilderness.
